Tuesday Afternoon

Savana Allen is home.  She still has the flu, but can be at home for her recovery.  Keep her in your prayers.

Jadon’s Story

Another great true story to attest of God’s hand in healing

Mrs. Lillian Brister had a heart transplant and received the heart of a 10 month old boy from Colorado.  Saturday, his parents will be coming here to visit Lillian in her home.  She is doing well.  The little boy’s heart gives her that opportunity.

Isn’t it wonderful what God has allowed the medical world to accomplish!  That’s just three stories, but, oh, what marvelous stories they are, especially for these three families.  Take time to recognize what He has done in your family and your little world.  Then, thank Him!

Tuesday Morning Addition

Sandra Simpson Arnold is having heart surgery.  Pray for her and the medical staff as they work with her today.  Pray for the family as they wait during surgery and for Sandra that she might have a full and easy recovery.

Pray for Marsha Bankston.  She went to Ochsner in New Orleans yesterday to get her first round of chemo.  Instead, the doctors found she had low blood sugar and hospitalized her.  The chemo is on hold for now.

Tuesday

“I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;

I will sing to You among the nations.”

~Psalm 57:9~

Miss Laura Joiner said it was the femur that was broken.  She is nervous about surgery, so pray she has a peace about it before she is taken for surgery which will be some time today.

Sunday Evening

Miss Laura Joiner has been taken to New Orleans.  I don’t have a good update on her condition.

Mr. Raymond Anthony continues to improve a little.  Pray for him and for his family.

Mr. Kenneth Birch is having a complication from surgery.  Pray he improves this week.

Marsha Bankston was able to be in church today.  Pray for her as she begins her treatment this week.

David Allen has had a few side effects from his last treatment.  Thank God David got this far before having any problems.  Thank God the problem was not too much to David to overcome.  Pray for him and his family as the treatments continue.

Thank God for three mothers over ninety years of age at church this morning.  All are still living in their long term homes.  On top of that, two of them drove themselves to church.

Saturday

“The same God produces every gift in every person.”

~1 Corinthians 12:6b GW~

At last report yesterday, Mr. Raymond Anthony was doing better.  He is still in ICU at North Oaks.  Continue to pray for him and his family.

Heart to Heart with Holley – Mother Letter

Dear Mama,

I may not know what it’s like to hold a baby inside my body. But I know what it’s like to hold a dream in my heart. To feel it grow, stretch and come into the world.

Giving life, mothering, is a miraculous thing.

We as women do so many ways.

However you do, I want to whisper to you today…

You being a mama makes a difference.

Even in the moments when it feels unseen.

Even on the days when it feels like you’re getting it wrong.

Even when you’re ready to catch a plane to Hawaii instead.

The children and dreams you guard and grow are the future. They are the faces of hope, the voices of tomorrow, the loveliness and glory and grit of what is yet to be.

So in case no one has said it lately…Thank you.

For your faithfulness. Your courage. Your obedience.

You are beautiful.

And you make beauty of this life–even on the days you can’t see it.

Love,

Holley – A Heart Mother
