Monday

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God,

and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.”

~1 John 5:1, ESV~

I saw (and ate) a lot of chocolate last night at church.   We had another great Sunday fellowship night.  Now, we have to wait until Sunday to have “Pie in the sky”.  I also have to decide what kind of pie to make.  Come join us at FBC, Kentwood if you are not in another church at that time.

The youth and children from FBC, Kentwood will be attending camp soon.  Please begin to pray for them now.

Please pray for Mr. and Mrs. John Alan Blackwell as they make the move to Moss Point, MS.  She is almost finished with the radiation treatments, but has more chemo to continue.  Pray this move works well for all the family.

Today, I would like to introduce you to a site that has devotionals (and other things) for children.  I hope you will explore such sites to share with your children and grandchildren.  Maybe, some of them will also touch our hearts.  Give it a peep.

I’m thankful for the forecast that says more rain.  Isn’t God good?

Sunday

“And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named,

To whom He was not announced, they shall see;

From the Sunday School lesson last week:

“But when he, the Spirit of truth,

comes, he will guide you into all the truth.

He will not speak on his own;

he will speak only what he hears,

and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

~John 16:13 NIV~

I’m thankful for rain.  We have had a good, soaking rain for two days now.  According to the weather report I read, we may get more rain in the next few days.

Jason and Ellen VandeVuss have made it back to the states.  I’m thankful for their willingness to go and tell.

Our Jason and Becki (and Mojo, the dog) ate on the way home.  I’m thankful for their brief visit and for Braden and Peyton getting to stay a few extra days.  I’m thankful for new memories!

Becki mom, Donna Robinson of Gonzales, visited the hospital for a while yesterday.  Thankfully, they only determined she was dehydrated.  She back home again.

Daddy, Grant Smith, enjoyed seeing my company yesterday.  I enjoyed him being here and getting to watch him eat fresh fish that the family caught yesterday morning.

Everyone’s life and experiences are different.  What part(s) of you little would are you thankful for this morning?

I thankful for Christian writes like Holley Garth who can express their thanks to God so well.
