Monday Addition

Remember Jadon today as he has a MRI in Detroit.

http://jadonsisstory.blogspot.com/

Thank God for all the progress Jadon has made.  Thank God for parents who have been so good working with him.  Thank God for all those wearing purple today as a reminder to pray for Jadon.  God has pulled this family though some difficult times.  They are so thankful.  Keep praying.

Monday

“I have compassion on the crowd,

because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat.

I don’t want to send them away hungry;

otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

~Matthew 15:32b, HCSB~

Mrs. Mary Alice Blackwell is still in Ponchatoula.  It is too wet in Moss Point to move in their new mobile home.  Continue to remember her and Mr. John Alan in your prayers.

Mrs. Judy Liberto was in Sunday School yesterday – neck brace and all.  It was so good to see her back in her class.  Please continue to pray for her.

Keith Womack is also wearing a neck brace following surgery.  Pray for him to heal nicely so he can continue his active live.

Mrs. Evelyn Bridges is continuing to have health issues.  An injection in her back recently gave her trouble.  Pray for the sweet lady as she deals with health issues.

Mrs. Pauline Strickland is doing better than she has in months.  Thank God for her progress.  Thank God for her family that has cared for her during this time.

Pray for Mrs. Mary Womack as she goes to New Orleans Tuesday for additional tests.  She will be very appreciative of your prayers.

Pray for the Houeye family (Charles, Bea., and Jennifer) as health issues abound.  Pray for those who go into their home to help care for them.

VBS begins tonight at the Tangipahoa Baptist Church and at FBC, Greensburg.  VBS will be a great way to end the summer before school begins again.

Pray for the school system employees as they go back to work this week.  It’s hard to believe their summer is over and another year is beginning.  Pray for a good school year for everyone.

Pray for Jimmy Schwartz, Marsha Bankston, Danny Horne, Butch Miller and others who are hospitalized.

15 Things God Won’t Ask  (continued)

  • 10.  God won’t ask what you did to help yourself, but will ask what you did to help others.
  • 11.  God won’t ask how many friends you have, but will ask how many people to whom you are a true friend.
  • 12. God won’t ask what you did to protect your rights, but will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

Have a great day.  Remember what really important in life!

Sunday

“His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family

by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.

And this gave him great pleasure.”

~Ephesians 1:5 NLT~

The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.

Saturday Evening

Please add my great nephew Chandler to the prayer list. He’s 10 years old and having kidney failure, and in intensive care at Lady Of The Lake. Also please add Paul Wayne Little. He’s also having kidney problems, plus other issues. He’s in Lakeview. Thanks , Lloyd (Hayden)

Also, please continue to pray for Danny Horne as he tries to overcome his heart attack and secondary issues.

At our Third Thursday meeting this week, James Rimes shared that a couple of people said they had no fear of dying and were ready for death.  Knowing how fragil life can be, Christians are only a breath away from Heaven.  Little did any of us know that in less than six hours in a movie theater in Colorado, lives would be taken and those people would face their eternity.  I pray they were ready!  I pray you are too!

Saturday Addition

Hannah Kay Cash was born to Elizabeth (Hughes) and Shanne Cash this morning.  Pray for this young, growing family.

I forgot to give you the next three of “15 Things God Won’t Ask”.  Here they are:

4. God won’t ask about your social status, but will ask what kind of class you displayed.

5. God won’t ask how many material possessions you had, but will ask if they dictated your life.

6.  God won’t ask what your highest salary was, but will ask if you compromised your character to obtain that salary.

Friday

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

~Romans 8:1-2 NIV~

Marsha Chambers Bankston now has hospice care.  Pray she is comfortable.  Pray for Larry and the boys too.

Angela and Little Adrian are both doing better.  Keep them on your prayer list for now.  Adrian has a long hospital stay ahead of him.

Danny Rae Horne is in ICU at North Oaks.  Keep him in your prayers.

Jimmy Schwartz is undergoing tests at North Oaks to see if a different problem can be located.  Keep praying for him.

Rain didn’t stop a great Third Thursday night at the cabin.  James shared through music and word.  Sherman Cutrer came to back James up on the mandelin.  We were all blessed.

James Rimes shared “15 Things God Won’t Ask” (no author listed on the paper).  I will share three a day so you can slowly let them soak in.

#1.  God won’t ask what kind of car you drive, but will ask how many people you drove who didn’t have transportation.

#2.  God won’t ask the square footage of your house, but will ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

#3.  God won’t ask about the fancy clothes you had in your closet, but will ask how many of those clothes helped the needy.

The quarterly WMU meeting will be this morning at New Zion Baptist Church.  I trust I will see some of you at 10:00.

Baptist Press has great articles again.
