Thursday Addition

East Fork Baptist Church (Brandy Potts)

Just wanted to send a reminder about our Trunk-N-Treat this Wednesday night at 6:30pm. We will have food,games,and candy. Come and join the the fun with us!

FBC, Kentwood is also having their harvest celebration tonight  beginning at 5:30.  Come out for a safe and fun environment.

Please continue to pray for the people of the northeast who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.  People in our area can really understand their situation.  Pray the people will understand recovery is a long process that can only be done step-by-step.  Pray, too, for them to understand the things that are really important in life.  Finally, pray for all those going to help physically and emotionally.  May they be safe as they work to help others and serve as their “good Samaritans”.

Wednesday

“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;

nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”

~Isaiah 59:1~

Bradley Brumfield is improving despite some very serious injuries!  God stepped in and did the healing.  Please continue to pray for Bradley, his family, and his friends.

A little girl, Kendra, recently had to have her right foot removed.  Yesterday, I saw her picture with a new foot.  Thanking God for allowing others to pray for her family and for His plans for a little girl despite an artificial foot.  I smile as I think of God already knowing what is ahead in her little life.

What’s That Thing You Always Do?

http://holleygerth.com/whats-that-thing-you-always-do/#comments

October 31st has a very special day in my memory.  One year ago today, David, Jennie, and I entered the Gamme Knife Surgery Center in New Orleans so they could “zap” the “inoperable” brain tumor in the very center of my head.  Today, I can humbly say the tumor is shrinking and I’m just fine!  Life had been so difficult for a couple of years, but what a difference it makes when you find the problem and go to someone who has the ability to correct the problem.  I had to put my trust (and my brain) in the hand of the doctors and God.  They both came through for me.  God still has more plans for me.  Today is a milestone!  It’s not what I ever thought would happen to me, but it did.  I’m glad I have this testimony and an opportunity to share it with you today.  I hope I live up to what God expects from me.

Pray for those in the path of Hurricane Sandy.  Many of them don’t have the hurricane experience that folks in our area have.

Arrangements have not been made for some who have passed away.  I’ll post them as they become available.
