Friday Evening

Koltyn Gafford (Written by his mom)

Koltyn had a good report this morning. Everything looks great after surgery. Breathing completely on his own. Blood Pressure is good and feeds start back slowly tomorrow through his new G-tube. We are one step closer to Rehab!

I forgot to post that Ann Weaver, sister of Gail Brister, was having surgery this morning.  Please pray for a good recovery for Ann.

Porgie Scarle of Fluker

Porgie passed away this evening at 5:00.  Please be in pray for Joanie and their two children.

Friday

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,

he is a new creation;

the old has gone,

the new has come!

~2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV~

Macy Gueldner (Written by her mother)

Macy’s counts are back up, so she had her LONG day of chemo today. I’m very thankful that my mom was able to bring her, so I can keep working. They just got home, and Macy is in a fantastic mood. I know that she is going to be very happy back at school tomorrow. It’d be better than awesome if we could keep all germs away from school… haha, wishful thinking!

I saw my neurosurgeon yesterday, and he was very happy with my progress, and so am I! I’m finally almost healed! Although, today’s weather has me in more pain than I’ve had since November… BUT it’s not nearly as bad as it had been, so I’ll take it!!

Everyone that knows me, knows that I have a severe intolerance for cold, and now that I have hardware in my neck, I LOATH it!!! Mother Nature, I’m calling MERCY!!

Wednesday Afternoon Addition

Koltyn Gafford (Written by his dad)

Update 1/7/15 9:00am Koltyn had a better night. His oxygen has been discontinued. We were told that he has suffered a significant brain injury from the accident. As devastating as that is to hear we know that God is in the healing and miracle business and he will continue to provide for Koltyn and our family. Our next step is feeding tube placement and recovery from this surgery then onward to children’s hospital for inpatient rehab. We will need your continued prayers and support. Thank you all and may God bless each and everyone of you.

Kathy Jo Thompson

“On the plane to NIH hope they find what’s causing these headaches

From Rev. Franklin Graham

On January 7, 1789, our country held its first nationwide election and George Washington was voted in as U.S. president. A lot sure has changed since then, hasn’t it? Remember to pray for America and for our leaders. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD” (Psalm 33:2).

Tuesday Evening

Koltyn Gafford

Update 1/6/15 9:00am Koltyn is slightly more calm this am. Last night was very difficult. His parents are in need of alot of support at this time due to exhaustion, mentally and physically. They are in need of rest and this journey will be long and hard. We appreciate the prayer warriors throughout the day and night.

Ladies, mark your calendars for January 20th.  Two Rivers ladies will meet at Spring Creek Baptist Church.  I hope to see many of you there.  We will be meeting in the new building.  Because the kitchen is not complete, please bring sandwiches, salad, desserts, and other foods that do not need to be reheated.  Thanks!

Tuesday

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

 Jadon’s Journey

3 years ago today we made a very difficult decision to hand Jadon over to the surgeons for the 1st part of his brain surgery in hopes to save his life. It was a horrible day with lots of horrific seizures and pain. Oh but today is a great day filled with lots of smiles and ZERO seizures. Thank you God for carrying us through this journey:)

His mother, Monica, will be speaking Sunday morning at Hillsdale Baptist Church.  You are invited to attend.
