Tuesday Evening Updates

Tish Fairburn – Tish’s surgery went well.  The doctor thinks he was able to remove the whole area that was the problem.  Pray for her in the coming days.

Gloria Gill – Gloria’s A-fib has returned.  She saw a local doctor today and will use medication until she can see her heart specialist Thursday.

Carl Wayne Stevens – Carl Wayne is in the ER now.  He is also dealing with A-fib tonight.  I’m not sure at this time if he will be admitted to the hospital.  Please pray.

There is another family will some special needs tonight, but that is all I want to say for now.  Pray for their needs to be met.

Good report!  Gail Pittman McDaniel‘s surgery is reported to be very successful.  She will be at North Oaks until Thursday, is all continues to go well.  Please continue to pray.

Tish Cooper Fairburn will have her kidney surgery this morning.  She has a very positive attitude and is also expected to be in the hospital until Thursday.  Please pray for her.

Jeffrey Brister had surgery on a knee Saturday and on his shoulder that had four breaks yesterday.  Pray for a complete recovery over time.

Luther Terrell will have back surgery on Wednesday.  His procedure will be out-patient.

Pray for the Pittman/McDaniel family as Gail has brain surgery this morning at North Oaks.

Pray for Phillip Strickland and his family as he begins week two of treatment.

The Two Rivers Association WMU will meet at 10 this morning at East Fork.  The leadership team will meet at 9:00.  We will be honoring the WMU service of Rachel “Cis” Cox, Shirley Gregot Lane, and Aileen Young.

 

David and I invite you to come to the cabin Thursday night at 6:30 for a meal, a time of fellowship, enjoying some great music, and a sweet devotional and prayer period.  As I often say, “It’s my favorite time of the whole month”!  We  simply call it the Third Thursday Gathering.

Mrs. Wilma Welch told someone to tell me to add Jennifer Cotes, 36, of Maringouin, to the Prayer Link.  She is the granddaughter of Mr. Eddie Welch and the mother of of two.  She  was just diagnosed with a tumor in her brain and one on her eye.  Prayers will be very much appreciated.

Please continue to pray for Mrs. Juanita Booty.  She is undergoing more tests and treatment at the same time.  Pray she can get some rest.  Pray for the family too.

Jeffrey Brister was in a motorbike accident in Tickfaw.  He broke his shoulder in four places and also broke his knee.  He had knee surgery yesterday.  Pray for him as he awaits shoulder surgery.

Majel Dean is progressing well following knee surgery.  Please continue to pray for her.

Frances Gay will require surgery to remove a tiny spot in her breast.  Surgery is scheduled for the 25th at Ochsner clinic in Covington.  Please add Fran and her family to your prayer list.

Jeffrey Brister had a motorbike accident in Tickfaw yesterday afternoon.  It was taking his bike home from the repair shop when it malfunctioned.  Jeffrey has a broken left shoulder and a broken left knee.  He will have surgery today at North Oaks.  Pray for Jeffrey today and in the days of recovery time he faces.

Friday Addition

Juanita Booty of Walker, Betty Simpson’s sister-in-law and Ora Lee Wilson’s sister, was found non-responsive in her home the day of her brother’s funeral.  Juanita is in critical condition in an ICU room.  Please pray for her and all the family who have been through so much lately.

David Bryant from Amite has been hospitalized and and rehab for the last eight months . He says he is much better now and may be released some time soon.  Thank you for praying for him.

 

Paul Wayne was my principal both in Roseland and in Amite.  He was a gentle and kind man.  He passed away Wednesday, but an obituary is not available yet.

Please pray for JoEllen F. Carruth of Greensburg.  She has another complication from her knee surgery, but it NOT a blood clot.  Thank the Lord for that.

Diane Turner continues to have thyroid and a-fib problems.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Dan Turner is having problems with one of the pumps he has to control seizures.  Pray this problem can be corrected.

Pray for Phillip Strickland who has started treatment.  Pray for his family too.

Tish Fairburn will be having surgery Tuesday to have a spot on her kidneys removed.  She’ll be at North Oaks.  Please pray for her.

Pray for all the families who have lost a loved one recently.

Children in Action studied about the Good Samaritan last night and went home with a band aid that said “I love my neighbor.”  I remember learning that my neighbors were not the Pritchetts and the Henrys.  Our neighbors are all people.  Do you love your neighbor or only the people next door?
