Friday Addition

Bro. Joey sent this message to some of you.  If so, please pray again.  If you didn’t get the message, hear is the information.

  • Norman Stuart is in an induced coma in ICU at North Oaks while doctors try to reduce swelling and eliminate blood clots.  Prayer is also requested for Nell Stuart, Norman’s wife.
  • Lloyd Hayden is still experiencing pain associated with a pinched nerve.  Pray for some relief for him.

Mr. Burnell Simpson is experiencing some heart problems.  He has seen a doctor in Covington and will have test done next week.  Pray for Mr. Burnell and his family.

Mr. Steve Hatchel and some of his family talked with an oncologist.  Plans are being made for him to go home from rehab and to begin chemo and radiation.  Pray for Mr. Steve and his family.

Third Thursday

David and I were honored that three people attended last night who have not attended before and that seven different churches were represented.  God is so good to all of us.  It was a good night of Christian fellowship for all who were present.

Bible Study

Our lesson this morning will show parallels between Superman and the Super Man.  I’m not into super heroes, but there is much to be learned from this lesson.  We will meet in the fellowship hall of FBC, K at 10 A.M.  You are welcome to join us.

Monday Update

David and I were called Mr. Steve’s cell phone, which Boyd has been using for a week while stateside, and got Mr. Steve.  We also talked with “Miss” Ginger.  They both sounded good.  Today, Mr. Steve started physical therapy and made some good progress.  He was also allowed to get a shower.  That certainly was good to improved his spirits.

Boyd was being taken to the airport by his brother, Aaron.  Boyd will leave shortly and arrive home, after only one layover, tomorrow night.  His family has managed their busy schedule while he has been away.

Thank you for your prayers for the family.  Please keep praying.

Steve Hatchel (from Boyd)

Thank you for praying for my father’s surgery. The doctor removed 98% of the tumor. After the surgery, he had decreased mobility in his left side and is unable to move his leg. The pathology report indicated a Grade 4 Multi-form Glioblastoma malignant brain tumor. My parents will be considering treatment options within the next two weeks. Please pray for my father, mother, and extended family. Please call 214-552-6437 before visiting Medical Center of Plano.

Johnnie “Lil Man” Santangelo

Update: Lil Man had to go to the ER today because of increased vomiting. The CT scan revealed swelling at the site where the tumor was removed and the shunt is working fine. They are restarting steroids to help the swelling and are giving him meds through the IV for nausea & vomiting. He’s resting now. His blood pressure is high 170’s/90’s but hopefully will come down now that he is comfortable. We will keep u posted. Keep the prayers coming. Love, The Santangelo’s

Macy Gueldner

Macy has been admitted to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital because of a fever. With her low immunity at this time, she needs to have special attention.

The family talked with the doctor this morning.  The report is not what they had hoped for.  Please say special prayers for Boyd and Aaron and for “Miss” Ginger.  God has blessed her with the ability to handle this difficult time in a way that has surprised her boys.  God is good.

National Day of Prayer

Tomorrow, May 1st, is the national day of prayer.  Be in pray for our country individually or with a group of people.
