Medical Mission Trips

  • Pray for Randi Shaidaee from East Fork and others from Hattisburg as they travel to Central America to work next week in a village in the mountains.  Randi will be working with a vet to help with work animals.
  • Pray for Karibeth Sitman from FBC, Greensburg and others as they serve as a medical team in Africa.

This is the second mission trip for both of these young ladies.  May physical and spiritual lives be changed because of their efforts.

Please pray for the Harrells.

Mr. Phillip’s doctor is considering a possible stent for him.  Mrs. Annie Belle is home from the hospital.  She continues to have a number of ongoing concerns.

Karen Miller’s mother, Nyra Rigby

Mrs. Rigby had her fourth chemo yesterday.  So far, she is tolerating her treatments well.  Pray for Karen as she continues to travel back and forth to Alabama frequently.

Kathy Jo Thompson

Kathy Jo, from west of Amite, had a number to brain tumors removed yesterday during a long surgery.  Pray for her in the next few days.  Pray for her mother who traveled with her for surgery.

Mike Hurst and family

Please continue to pray for Mike and for his family.

Beverly “Doodle” Watson

“Doodle” continues to do well with her treatment.  Thank God for doctors with knowledge and medicine that is much improved over what was available in the past.

Steve and Ginger Hatchel

Pray for Mr. Steve as he has daily treatments while struggling with weight loss and not resting well.  Pray for “Miss” Ginger as she lovingly tries to meet his daily needs.  Thank God for Ana, their daughter-in-law who lives close by and who is a nurse.  Pray for Boyd and his family as they begin a three day drive to be with his family.

Sandra Eudy Mays, my brother-in-law’s sister 

Please pray for Sandra, who is scheduled to have heart surgery this afternoon, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. The doctors plan to replace her defibrillator, a wire to her heart, and add an additional wire.

FBC, K Youth

The youth are at Centrifuge.  Pray for the love of Christ to grow in each heart.  May their experiences this week impact their lives forever.

Ray is doing well.  He will have a Pet scan Friday morning to determine the next step.

Mr. John Alan’s hip surgery will be Monday.

He is dealing with a lung infection now.  Prayers are appreciated for him and his family.

Friday Morning Bible Study

Friday at 10:00, we will resume our Bible study.  Our study of the revelation of Jesus has been very meaningful.  This will the the last of this series.  Next Friday, we will begin seven weeks of the “Seven Deadly Sins”.  Following that, we will begin a study of women of the Bible with Ruth.  Feel free to join us.

  • Sue Ellen learned she does not have a new health issue, just a lot of scar tissue.
  • Georgia has two masses on her kidneys and will be seeing the doctor again the first of the week.

Our friend, Sherry Day, had her brain procedure yesterday.  They only had to “zap” it for ten minutes because it was found while still so small.  I know she feels like me, blessed!

Paula A. Splane had knee surgery yesterday.  Pray for her as she begins physical therapy today.

Ray Blackwell’s surgery went well.  Pray for him as he recovers and looks ahead to the next step.

John Alan Blackwell will have surgery Monday.  Pray for his family as they care for multiple family members.
