It’s been several years since I have seen a movie, but I’ll share this one because it seems to be a good one.

MOVIES: New film ‘Little Red Wagon’ is inspiring

Keep Mr. Billy Travis in your prayers.

Keep on praying for America.

Thankfulness: Day 7

I’m thankful for six precious grandchildren.  Each one is unique and special in their own way.  They have my heart and represent the future of my family.  I’m thankful for the values they have already learned and expect all six to be well-balanced mature adults who will help make the world a better place.  I’m thankful for the firm foundation they have that will guide them as they mature.  Oh, how I love them!  I trust each of you to love your grandchildren just as much as I do mine.  As I pray for my grandchildren, I will also pray for all the other grandchildren, not by name, but as a group.  May they all be part of making this world better and staking out a home in eternity for themselves and others.

I hope you are counting your blessing this month.  Use a journal or whatever method works best for you, but count them.  You’ll find how blessed you really are.

“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;

nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”

Bradley Brumfield is improving despite some very serious injuries!  God stepped in and did the healing.  Please continue to pray for Bradley, his family, and his friends.

A little girl, Kendra, recently had to have her right foot removed.  Yesterday, I saw her picture with a new foot.  Thanking God for allowing others to pray for her family and for His plans for a little girl despite an artificial foot.  I smile as I think of God already knowing what is ahead in her little life.

What’s That Thing You Always Do?

http://holleygerth.com/whats-that-thing-you-always-do/#comments

October 31st has a very special day in my memory.  One year ago today, David, Jennie, and I entered the Gamme Knife Surgery Center in New Orleans so they could “zap” the “inoperable” brain tumor in the very center of my head.  Today, I can humbly say the tumor is shrinking and I’m just fine!  Life had been so difficult for a couple of years, but what a difference it makes when you find the problem and go to someone who has the ability to correct the problem.  I had to put my trust (and my brain) in the hand of the doctors and God.  They both came through for me.  God still has more plans for me.  Today is a milestone!  It’s not what I ever thought would happen to me, but it did.  I’m glad I have this testimony and an opportunity to share it with you today.  I hope I live up to what God expects from me.

Therefore, He is always able to save those who come to God through Him,

since He always lives to intercede for them.

~Hebrews 7:25~

Continue to pray for the people of the East Coast as they find the true reality of life after Hurricane Sandy.  Pray for people rushing in to help.  You can go or give to reputable organizations.

We have more reasons to pray for America today than we did yesterday!

Mrs. Carolyn Frey will be making funeral arrangements for her son today.  The funeral will be Thursday in Kentwood, but a decision about a wake has not been made yet.  I’ll post the obituary when it becomes available today.

Bradley Brumfield is improving.  He has been moved from ICU to a regular room.  Keep praying for Bradley and his family.  The family is so very appreciative of your prayers.

Mrs. Mary Alice Blackwell has her 81st birthday today in Moss Point, MS.  Pray for peace and comfort for her and the family.

Mr. Larry Watts is now in room 2229, upstairs in the original building, at North Oaks.  Continued prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Susie Sharkey was scheduled to return home yesterday.  From what I heard, she did not have a heart problem.

The Associational WMU World Day of Prayer will be celebrated at Kedron Baptist Church on Monday, November 5th at 10:00 A.M.  A covered dish lunch will follow the program.  What great timing for a day of prayer!  You are invited to join us.

David and I attended revival at Kedron Baptist Church (west of Amite) last night.  Dr. Milton Kliesch was the evangelist.  Bro. Jake (Jacob) Williams is the pastor there.  Music was led by Andy Taylor with Rev. Butch Reviere on the piano.  During the service tonight, Andy will give his testimony and share several songs.  Bro. Milton has a gift for preaching in a way that easily connects with people.  Tonight’s service, which ends the official revival meetings, begins at 7:00 P.M.

Spring Creek Baptist Church will be celebrating their fall festival tonight.  FBC, Kentwood will celebrate this a week from tonight.
