God “is the blessed and only Sovereign,

the King of kings,

and the Lord of lords.”

~1 Timothy 7:15b, HCSB~

Brandy Potts want me to clarify the the EFBC children’s choir rehearsal she posted about is for Sunday evenings.

Yes, Austin Rose did make it home to march in with his high school band in Georgia.  Thank God Austin was able to have his treasured experience with his band.  Let’s pray he will get to have more treasured experiences before his next hospitalization.  I thank God for giving Austin such a great support system.

There were twelve ladies at the Lucy Bible study.  We all laughed and learned.  The next Lucy Bible study will be Friday morning at 10:00.  At that time we will discuss worrying.  This study will be independent of what we have already done.  I hope you will come join us.  Of course, if you have never worried about anything, you don’t need to come.

Saturday

“Enter through the narrow gate.

For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction,

and there are many who go through it.

How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life,

and few find it.”

~Matthew 7:13-14, HCSB~

I thought you might want to read Boyd Hatchel’s Facebook post and a comment by Jennie.

So grateful for individuals who spend their vacation time and money to come where we live. When their talents, experience, and sacrifice intersect with God’s power, lives are changed forever. It’s happened before, but it happened again this week. Using Upward basketball and a day camp, children and their parents heard once again God loves them, forgives them, and has great plans for their lives. When was the last time you left the known and familiar for the sake of God’s kingdom?

What a GREAT group! Thank you, Williams Boulevard Baptist Church!!!

David and I have enjoyed being at WBBC and seeing their awesome Upward basketball program.  They are certainly being used by God to reach out to many in the greater New Orleans area and now in the Europe.  May God continue to reach others through WBBC.

Speaking of Facebook, please read “Prayers for Eli”.  He’s having some difficult days.  I’m sure the family would appreciate your prayers.

Continue to pray for the local ladies at the Beth Moore conference as they meet today and travel home later.  May Bath Moore be able to inspire them with God’s Word today.

Mary Criswell suggested I post this obituary.  Thanks, Mary.

Please continue to pray for Roseanne, JB and baby Jaycee Dell. As they make little steps forward there are some steps back. Jaycee Dell is still in the NICU at St. Tammany Hospital. We believe in the power of prayer…help us pray for the doctor and nurses as well as Roseanne, JB and Jaycee Dell.
