Thankfulness – “The Little Things”

It’s the little things in life that touch my heart: an young boy holding a door open for me, a friend saying words of appreciation through an e-mail, David handing me the first blueberries he picked from his bushes, someone asking about my children who do not live in this area, seeing a former classmate at Mike’s, a hug,  or any one of many other little things that happen.  These are the riches I value so much in life and some of the things that seem to happen just when I need a reminder of love, God’s love and love of family and friends.

Our blessing are the “little things” more often than the “big things”.  Reflect on the little things that bless your heart.

Thankfulness – Day 2

I’m so thankful that God use me despite all my weaknesses and “warts”.  I have opportunities to be a witness for Him, just like all of you do.  He use me to do things like talk,  smile, visit, pray, encourage, share, and call.  I thank God for these opportunities and pray He will guide me in using what He has given me in ways He would approve of.  My opportunities do not speak about me, but Him!

November is a special month to count our blessings.

Day 1 – I’m so thankful I have God to take my daily burdens.  He lightens my load and gives me a new perspective when I give my burdens to Him.  There are times when my burdens could destroy my attitude and my relationship with God and with people, but He carries my burdens and improves my outlook.  What a friend He is!
