I trust all of you did well in the bad weather we had earlier.  If you have some free time, you are welcome to come help us pick you branches.   That’s our only damage, so we are thankful.

Gerald Hyde called with three requests from his friends and classmates at Chesbrough High School.

  1. Ginger Edwards Landry of Amite has some health issues.
  2. Betty Pittman will be transferred to Greensburg hospital.  Give her your prayers and support.  She is a cousin to Judy Raborn.
  3. Royce McClendon

 Royce “Screwball” Wayne McClendon, 69, of Walker, LA, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center. Royce retired after 40+ years of truck driving. In his spare time he enjoyed racing. He was also a member of First United Pentecostal Church, Denham Springs. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be at First United Pentecostal Church, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, April 28, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., Rev. Ray Johnson. Burial will be at New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Kentwood, LA. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kevin and Shannon McClendon, Brian and Julia McClendon, and Joni and Ray Guitreau; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Collin and Jeanne McClendon, and Donald and Janell McClendon; and very dear friend, Thomas Tuberville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramsey and Vertilee McClendon; brothers, Lindsey, Steve and Roger McClendon; and sister, Shannon McIntyre.
