There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. ~Luke 15:7~ “He rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.” ~Matthew 18:13~

I remember hearing this song for the first time. I was at Natalbany Baptist Church. Uncle Charles Tolleson was leading the music for revival. After church, I asked my parents why 99 sheep would be left alone just so one could be saved. That very night, I learned how important each and every person is to God. I was five or six years old and have loved the song every since. I just shared the story with David for the first time. I’m glad the devotional for today triggered this memory.
I hope this “favorite” sticks with me today and that I remember the value of each person to the kingdom forever.
