“To know wisdom and instruction,

To perceive the words of understanding,

To receive the instruction of wisdom,

Justice, judgment, and equity;

To give prudence to the simple,

To the young man knowledge and discretion—

A wise man will hear and increase learning,

And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.”

~Proverbs 1:2-5, NKJV~

Hope Center

The first boxes of food were distributed yesterday.  The next group of people will receive boxes on Friday, October 17th.  The transformation from winter clothing to summer clothing in the thrift store will take place this week.  Cooler weather calls for long sleeves and pants, sweaters, and jackets.  Please pass the word about the winter clothing.

Volunteers have been wonderful.  The blessings have been so abundant.  Write me a message or call me to get your position on the schedule in the thrift store or the food pantry.

Devotional, Scripture, and a Song

  • “The Power to Change” http://odb.org
  • “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,                                                                   but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think”                                                                                                                                                                                ~Rom. 12:2 NLT~

God takes us just as we are and changes us for the better, much better!  Then, when it’s time for our obituary, we can sing that song with a heavenly choir.

Have a great day.  I hope this song plays itself over and over in my head and heart today.  I hope that as I “listen” to it, you are “hearing” it too.
