Vincent Louis Rispone
(February 23, 1921 – December 16, 2013)

Vincent Louis Rispone, 92 years old of Amite, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born February 23, 1921, in Amite, to Joseph Emmanuel and Frances Campo Rispone. Vince was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Tangipahoa Sheriff deputy for twenty years under Sheriff Tom Sanders and served as a detective for Frank Edwards, Jr. until his retirement from law enforcement. He was an avid football and baseball enthusiast and coached little league baseball in Amite for many years. He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Evelyn Sharkey Rispone; one son, Vincent Jerry Rispone, Sr and wife, Kathy; one daughter, Linda Rispone Hulsey, all of Amite; five grandchildren, Melissa Blair Rispone, Hunter Leigh Hulsey, Thomas Heath Hulsey, all of Amite, Vincent “Jero” Rispone, Jr, Houston, TX and Haley Hulsey White, LaPlace; one great grandchild, Ben Rispone Latino, Amite and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Emmanuel and Frances Campo Rispone; four brothers, Joe, Tony, Sam and John Rispone; two sisters, Josephine Rispone Arnone and Catherine Rispone Liuzza. Pallbearers will be, Pete Arnone, Heath Hulsey, Jack Liuzza, Jero Rispone, Joseph Rispone and Samuel Rispone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emile Bellavia, John Campo, Mickey Catalanotto, Roger Dangerfield, Angelo Giardina, J.C.Ricks and Gerald Simmons. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Services conducted by Fr. Mark Beard. Interment Mulberry Street Cemetery, Amite. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Helena Catholic Church Building Fund, 122 S. 1st St., Amite, LA 70422.
