A resident of Greensburg, died on Friday, September 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1921 in Sedan, KS and was 92 years of age. She was a former resident of Farmington, NM and Longton, KS. Survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl Groth and husband, Bob, Fredonia, KS and Tracy Sharkey and husband, Robert, Greensburg; 2 sons, Rex Mills and wife, Linda, Frontenac, KS and Roger Mills and wife, Kathy, Cleveland, MO; 15 grandchildren, Brenda, Carrie, Page, Terrie, Amy, Rex, Ryan, Bobby, Gina, Hannah, Laine, Tessa, Steven, Darren and Mallory; numerous great and great great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Vance, San Jose, CA and brother, John Rader, Anchorage, AK. Preceded in death by husband, George Allen Mills; parents, Major Ralph Rosco Rader and Amy Gladys Van Horn Rader; and 2 brothers, Valentine “Tim” Rader and William “Bill” Rader. Visitation at Kedron Baptist Church, Amite, from 10:00 a.m. until religious services at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Walker Frazier
(December 1, 1937 – September 21, 2013)

A resident of Kentwood, died at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born December 1, 1937 in Kentwood and was 75 years of age. Survived by 2 daughters, Amy Rankin and husband, Jeff, Travelers Rest, SC, Sandra Frazier Fornea, Cypress, TX; 2 sons, Wendell Frazier and wife, Cecilia, Petal, MS, and Nelson Frazier and wife, Patricia, Covington; 10 grandchildren, Chuck and wife, Ashley, Chip and wife, Kali and Alicia Frazier, Maria, Lauren, and Erin Frazier, Andrew and Luke Fornea, Hannah and Berakah Rankin and 4 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Shirley Von Cannon, Johnson City, TN; and 1 brother, Jerry Dale Walker, Denham Springs. Preceded in death by husband, Charles I. Frazier; parents, William and Zoe Walker; brother, Wilson Walker and son in law, Mike Fornea. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and at The Lord’s Church, Kentwood, from 9 a.m. until Religious Services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Don Meadows. Interment New Zion Cemetery, Kentwood.

At church tonight, I learned the Mrs. Sibley of Greensbury  also passed away.
