“God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me;” With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away, and though we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your hard working hands stopped to rest, God broke our hears to prove to us he only takes the best. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.” Author unknown. A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs, he passed away Friday, September 20, 2013, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, he was 69 and he retired from Local 198 as a pipefitter. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Chapel at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. He is survived by one son, Stephen Clark and wife Sherri L. Clark, one daughter, Sonia Lynn Clark, seven grandchildren, Ashley, Brent, Brittany, Jennah, Adrian, Stephanie, Stephen, four great grandchildren, Parker, Dakoda, Adeline and Ainsley, brother, Gerald Clark and sister, Maria Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo Clark, daughter, Cindy Kimble, grandson, Matthew Clark, parents, Herbert Samuel and Mary R. Clark, niece, Lisa Davis. Pallbearers will be, Brent Nolan, Stephen Clark, Daryl Cleveland, Jr., Val McMorris, Greg Booty and Thomas Alford.
