Sunday

  “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked;

for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,

but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

~Galatians 6:7-8~

Austin Rose (from his mother, Lisa)

Had a successful week of chemo and we get to go home tomorrow (Sunday) This was his last regular round!! We come back in two weeks for the first maintenance treatment. It’s hard to believe but he is so close to done.
Side effect of these particular drugs is a sunburn like affect on the palms of the hands and bottoms of the feet. Luckily not quite as painful as last time. Ice packs help and it will all be a memory soon enough. — with Austin Rose.

Two young boy, Connor and Eli, are home for a change.  Lara is still in Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, but receiving good reposts.  I’m so thankful to post good reports on all of these young people.

TeamKid will begin tonight at FBC,Kentwood.  This will replace AWANA, but is very similar.  Bring your children ages 4 – 5th grade out at 5:30.  There will be a place for every member of the family, so bring the whole family.

The Beth Moore study of Deuteronomy will begin Monday, the 16th at 6:30 P.M. in the fellowship hall.

The Senior Adult Revival will be Monday – Wednesday.  The first day, we will meet at Line Creek.  Lunch will be provided each day.

The associational WMU meeting will follow the revival tomorrow.  It will be at East Fork at 1:00.  I hope many of you will be up to making both of these important events tomorrow.

You have one more week to get food to your local Baptist church in our area for the Fall Food Round-Up for the La. Baptist Children’s Home.  Remember the 16th.  I previously posted a list of their needs, so look back on The Prayer Link to see what they need the most.

Remember, to continue to bring children’s shoes and school uniforms to the church.  I will organize your deliveries and take them to Re-Store which in located between Cooper’s Bakery and Boston Restaurant in Amite.  We will be collecting blankets and jackets next, if you would like to get an early start on sorting through things at home.

If you would like to being anything for the family that had a fire and lost everything last week, please refer to the list I posted earlier or a list at the church at the office entrance.
