Jennifer Jones Pittman
(August 21, 1971 – September 3, 2013)

A resident of Kentwood, died at 6:39 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 21, 1972 in Hammond and was 41 years of age. She worked as a register nurse for Ultra, Delta and Omni Home Health for many years but her biggest glory was being a momma to her two boys. Survived by husband, Rodney Clark Pittman; 2 sons, Rangle Coy Pittman and Roper Cale Pittman; parents, C.A. and Shelia Pittman; 1 sister, Stephanie Jones Coon and husband, Dale; niece and nephew, Justin Coon and Ashley Robertson and husband, Shay; great nieces, Alleigh and Alyvia. Preceded in death by father in law, Chuck Pittman and nephew, Christopher Dale Coon. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 9:00 AM until religious services at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2013. Services conducted by Rev. Justin Wascom and Rev. Rick LeDoux. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek, LA .McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in charge of the arrangements.

 Gage Allen

(February 25, 1997 – September 2, 2013)

I give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it. Psalms 139:14

Gage Harrison Allen, 16, of Summit, MS, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, September 2, 2013.

Gage, was born February 25, 1997. Loving son of Jason Earl Allen and Heather Smith Phillips, stepson of Michelle Allen and Russell Phillips.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at New Heights Baptist church and will continue Thursday from 9:00 until funeral service at 11:00 AM at the church. Rev. Rick Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery in Kentwood, LA

Gage is preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Smith.

He is survived by brothers, Blayde Reuben Allen and Parker Lane Miller, and stepbrother and sister, Jacob and Emily Schoeby, all whom loved him dearly. Gage leaves behind his grandparents, Joseph Allen and wife Annie, Alma Dripps and husband, Jason, Lugene Newman and husband, Billy, Danny Tucker Pittman, and Marlene and Danny Phillips. He is also survived by great grandmother Barbara Garrene and great great grandmother, Inez Anderson. Also mourning Gage’s loss are aunts, Angie Duck and Tabitha Pittman and uncles Royce Allen, Bobby Smith, and Randall Newman. The cousins that adored Gage Boy are too many to name.

Gage was a compassionate young man who was a loving companion to his great Grandmother, Ruby Smith. Gage attended New Heights Baptist Church, was a Junior at North Pike High School, and loved skateboarding and camping.

Pallbearers will be Blayde Allen, Braden Duck, Brett Bates, Taylor Counce, Randall Newman, Tristan Cothern, Jacob Schobey, Kadin Woodall, Johnathon Allen and Kole Brown.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gage Allen Scholarship Fund at Regions Bank. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:28

 

Please pray for all these families.  There seems to be lots of hurting and sadness in our area today.
