Today, I’m going give you an outline for guided prayer.  I hope this will be meaningful to you.   First, I want you to read this devotional on prayer.

Now, read a line and pray for the person or persons who come to mind.  Then, move on to the next suggestion for prayer.

  • Thank God for what He has done for you.
  • Thank God for your salvation (if you know Him).
  • Thank God for those in your household who know Him.
  • Thank God for the opportunity to worship without fear of prosecution.
  • Thank God for Christian friends.
  • Thank God for Christian family members.
  • Thank God for Christian neighbors.
  • Thank God for those who represent God’s love in your daily world.
  • Thank God for listening to your prayers.
  • Pray for someone in a nursing home.
  • Pray for someone in rehabilitation.
  • Pray for someone who is hurting emotionally.
  • Pray for someone who has lost a loved on recently.
  • Pray for a member of a church staff.
  • Pray for someone who is homebound
  • Pray for someone who needs to choose a church home.
  • Pray for someone who needs follow God.
  • Pray for a Sunday School teacher.
  • Pray for a school teacher.
  • Pray for an elementary student.
  • Pray for a middle school student.
  • Pray for a high school student.
  • Pray for a college student.
  • Pray for a newly married couple.
  • Pray for a couple with a troubled marriage.
  • Pray for a couple with a long marriage.
  • Pray for a single parent.
  • Pray for a child who has health issues.
  • Pray for a child who is physical disabilities.
  • Pray for parents of a disabled child.
  • Pray for someone who lives far from family.
  • Pray for someone who is moving.
  • Pray for a woman considering abortion.
  • Pray for someone who is lonely.
  • Pray for someone who has no family.
  • Pray for someone who has lost all connections with family.
  • Pray for yourself to pray more often.
  • Ask God to help you be a better messenger of God’s love.
  • Ask God to help you be bold in sharing.
  • Ask God to help you be faithful in church attendance.
  • Ask God to help you see where He wants you to improve,
  • Ask God to help you be more faithful in prayer.
  • Ask God to guide you in each choice you make today.
