Monday

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

~Proverbs 9:10, NKJV~

Pray for Lara, namesake of Lara’s Gowns for Smiles.

Please keep Lara in prayer, she needs extra prayers now

An update from Lara’s mom:
The doctors seem to think they found a lesion on Lara’s left tibia. We are waiting to see if they will do a biopsy on Tuesday. As of now, they are stopping treatment until we see a specialist at MD Anderson. Trying to be optimistic. If anybody can handle this, my baby can!

Pray for Ashlyn DeBlanc as she has a check-up on her knee today.

Melissa Simpson Johnson can drive again.  Pray for her as she continues to make progress.

 Mission Opportunities

  • Ladies, youth, and girls, your purses are needed for a mission project.  Also, items normally found in purses are needed to pack the purses to give away through Re-Store, a shop sponsored by the Louisiana Baptist Convention.  Items we will include are combs, brushes, nail files, pens, paper, tissue, religious literature, etc.  Your donations can be placed in one of the baskets at FBC, Kentwood or you can call me for a pick-up.
  •  Susan Defrene of Lara’s Gowns for Smiles will be here a week from today to have a cutting-party.  Bring your scissors to help cut fabric that will be sewn into hospital gowns for children hospitalized with cancer.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, you can help organize the library at the mission’s office in Franklinton.  We will leave FBC, Kentwood at 8:30 both days.  Call me or send me a message if you wish to help.
  • Next month, our church will host a regional WMU meeting.  Volunteers are needed.  Contact the church office or me.

I’m looking forward to a great week.  I trust you are too!
