A resident of Roseland, she died at 1:38 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Helena Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born May 7, 1924 in Rockford, IL and was 88 years of age. She was a World War II Veteran, a housewife and a dairy farmer. She is survived by her 4 sons, Jimmie Singleton, Sr., Charlie Singleton and wife, Edna, Ralph Singleton and wife, Mickey and Harvey Singleton and wife, Lori; 4 daughters, Bonnie Sue Hagan, Mary Lou Warren and husband, Carl, Elizabeth Ann Jones and Susan Rick and husband, Chris; 2 step-sons, Theodore Singleton and wife, Lucille and Donald Singleton; 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Henson O. Singleton; parents, Carl and Sadie Van Buskirk; an infant; 3 infant grandchildren; 3 brothers, Richard, Lawrence and James Van Buskirk; 2 half brothers, Walter and Rodney Burton; maternal grandparents, Luke and Lutischa Byrd; paternal grandparents, Israel and Jennie Van Buskirk; foster parents, Alice and Fremont Noble. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013. Services conducted by Rev.
