A resident of Kentwood, she died at 6:03 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home. She was born June 13, 1951 in Independence and was 61 years of age. She was a retired school lunchroom manager with St. Helena Parish School Systems. She is survived by her husband, Larry Stevens Phillips; 2 daughters, Kelly Phillips Lambert and husband, Bill, and Blaine Phillips Gillam and husband, Warnie; 7 grandchildren, Destinee Reanne Wascom, Haley Elizabeth Wascom, Steven Scott Wascom, Emma Lambert, Will Lambert, Khaliegh Gillam and Kaleb Gillam, all of Kentwood; 4 sisters and 2 brothers, Juanita Pace, St. Amant, Rita Holden, Barbara Walker, Nan Morris, Paul James and James Walker, all of Amite; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Phillips Wascom; mother, Mary “Pauline” Walker; father, Travis Walker; brother, Charles James. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Services conducted by Rev.
