My former student, Cindy Knight Edwards, said her mother, Sue Knight, is better, but the doctors did not determine her problem. Pray that her problem does not redevelop. Thank God for this improvement.

(June 9, 1945 – September 10, 2012)
A loving husband, Daddy and PopPop won the victory and received the prize of eternal life on Monday September 10th, 2012. A resident of Osyka, MS and native of Baton Rouge, LA, he was 67. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan Payne Tanner; 2 daughters, Stephanie and Joe Johnson and Rebecca and Justin Nowell; 1 son, Greg Tanner, Jr; four grandchildren, Hannah and Tanner House and Carrie and Tyler Nowell; 5 sisters, Mary Beth and Don Hey, Katherine and John Davis, Louise and Harold Mason, Amy and Don Matheny, Leah and Doug Morgan; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Beth Tanner. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 11th 2012 at 3 pm at the Tanner Family Cemetery in Norwood, LA. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday September 12th at 7 pm at House on the Rock Church, Amite, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to House on the Rock Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy “A Shellback” and was owner and operator of Hammond Decorating Center for over 40 years.
