(January 31, 1932 – September 7, 2012)

A native of Tickfaw and a resident of Kentwood, he passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 80 years old. He was surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived his wife of 57 years, Velma B. Anthony; 4 children Sandra Ainsworth, Albert Anthony and wife, Jeanette, Wanda Bridges and husband, Barry, and Wendell Anthony and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Brian and Krystal Ainsworth, Angelia Miller and husband, Adam, David and Tiffany Anthony, Lynn Anthony, Albert John Anthony and wife, Michelle, Brittany Leonard and fiance, Jared Smith, Blake Leonard and girlfriend, Michelle Savoie, Kevin, Barrett and Blaine Bridges, Kirstin and Ryker Anthony; 13 great-grandchildren and his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Lynn Anthony; and parents, John and Lizzie Anthony. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 10, 2012.
