A resident of Greensburg, she died at 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Helena Parish Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born July 9, 1932 in Kentwood and was 80 years of age. She is survived by her 3 sons, Sammy Oliver and his wife, Lettie, Tickfaw, Terry Oliver and his wife, Beverly, Kentwood and Scotty Oliver and his wife, Darla, Kentwood; 1 daughter, Bridgett King and her husband, Eric, Monticello, MS; 15 grandchildren, Sean Oliver, Amber Case and her husband, Jerry, Suzanne McAlister, Michael Posey, Whitney Brumfield and her husband, Brian, Courtney McDaniel and her husband, Sidney, Kimberly Oliver, Bruce Oliver, Scotty Oliver and his wife, Kim, Lacey Oliver, Hunter Oliver, Tristan Grice, Carly Grice, Brett King and Blake King; 11 great-grandchildren, Alex and Brooklyn Oliver, Dusty Payne, Olivia and Madelyn Brumfield, Gracie Byrd, Abigail Caulk, Janie Newby, Tara Bryant, Montana Posey and Tannah McAlister; 1 great-great-grandchild, Braylan Newby; 5 brothers and sisters, Charlie “Sonny” Blades, Jr., Peggy Givens, Louis “Frog” Blades, Juan Potts and Rex Blades; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Tink Oliver; parents, Charlie and Ruby Blades; sister, Janice Blades. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012. Services conducted by Bro.
