A resident of Greensburg, LA, died at 2:40 AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1924 in Morton, MS and was 88 years of age. Survived by, husband, Quincy L Travis, Greensburg; daughter, Lee Alice and husband Joseph B. McLean, Jr., Greensburg; son, Keith Travis, Greensburg; 2 brothers, Davis C. Holmes, and Dearl R. Holmes, both of Morton, MS; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by, parents, Mr. & Mrs. C. Holmes; 3 brothers, Ance, Hardy, and Lindsey Holmes; sister, Viola B. Davis; step-granddaughter, Courtney McLean. Visitation on Friday, July 17, 2012 from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 AM at McKneely Funeral Home Kentwood. Services conducted by Rev. Jerry Holmes and Rev. Larry Stewart. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood, LA. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial donations be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or the Louisiana Baptist Childrens Home.
