Thursday

“Take on an entirely new way of life—

a God-fashioned life,

a life renewed from the inside

and working itself into your conduct

as God accurately reproduces his character in you.”

~Ephesians 4:22-24 MSG~

Please excuse the delay in posting this morning.  Tree trimmers keep dropping limbs on power lines and knocking out my power temporarily.  I’m glad they are trimming the trees, so no complaints from me.

Jimmy Schwartz is home again.  Pray for him as he continues to battle whatever is causing him problems. Keep his family in your prayers too.  They have all been on a “roller coaster ride”.

Continue to pray for Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Harrell.  They have both maintained such sweet spirits even though the last few years have been very hard on their bodies.  They have certainly set a good example for the rest of us.

Mr. Raymond Anthony needs our prayers as he continues to walk the road of life with cancer.  Pray for his family as they walk this road with him.

Mr. Butch Miller is still in ICU, but improving.  We’ll be glad to know that he is home again.  Continue to pray.

Both Ashley Bridges and little Adrian are improving.  Continue to pray for them and their extended families as they give support and encouragement.

Mrs. Emma Harris is home from OLOL where she has received help for her heart and pneumonia.  She always loves your prayers.

Continue to pray for Andy Taylor.  He continues to have issues from his wrecks that happened close to a year ago.  Knowing Andy, he will put on a smile and continue to do whatever the Lord allows his body to do.

Roseland has lost two strong and faithful Christian ladies this week.  Please be in prayer for the Bennett and Bankston families.  Marsha’s wake is tonight at Roseland Baptist Church from 5:00 – 9:00.

Please pray for the faculty, staff, and students of all our schools.  They will be opening soon.  Thank God for those who continue to invite God to be a part of their campus and their classes.

I’m thankful for God providing weather that allowed lots of local gardens to abundantly produce crops our us this summer.  Even though we still have lots of vegetables, I’m looking forward to the fall garden with produce that only grows here at that time of year.

It’s so encouraging to see how VBS has carried through the summer.  Local churches have done a great ministry all through June and July.

I will post more later today.  Thankfully, I managed some time without the interference of the tree trimmers.
