Marsha Chambers Bankston
(April 8, 1954 – July 25, 2012)

A resident of Roseland, she died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born April 8, 1954 in Hammond and was 58 years of age. She retired from the Office of Family Support in Amite after 30 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Roseland. She is survived by her husband, Larry Bankston, Roseland; 3 sons, Daniel Bankston, Roseland, Michael Bankston, Roseland and Stephen Bankston and wife, Claire, Amite; 5 grandchildren, Jacob Bankston, Madison Cain, Cameron Bankston, Tara Brumfield and Gracie Bankston; 3 brothers, Stanley Hayden, Amite, Terry Chambers, Independence and Ricky Chambers and wife, Jane, Denham Springs; brothers-in-law, Simeon Bankston and wife, Pam, Roseland and Barton Bankston and wife, Cheri, Brandon, MS; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father, Byron Chambers; mother, Vera Hayden; step-father, Russell Hayden. Visitation at First Baptist Church, Roseland, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012. Services conducted by Rev.
