Thursday

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,

intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority;

that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved,

and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

~1 Timothy 2:1-4~

Continue to pray for Wayne Forrest’s family.  He is still in St. Tammany.

Judy Liberto’s car was hit fromt the rear as she was turning into a driveway.  Thank God her injuries were not life threatening.  Pray she will not have a lot a pain as she recovers from some fractures.

Pray for Rene Deck as she recovers from injuries to her back and her leg.  It’s hard to slow Rene down.

Pray for Mrs. Mary Alice Blackwell that her treatment will not make her sick.

Pray for Larry Bankston and his sons, Daniel, Michael, and Stephen.  Only a miracle can bring their Marsha back to them as she was.

Please spend some time reading this and then watching the video clips.

Bedouin tent inspires prayer
Visitors to the SBC exhibit hall found a tent at the IMB site. Inside were five locations of challenge and opportunities for prayer. And a chance to make a Great Commission commitment.

Pray that those who put a nail in the cross will remember their commitment and follow through with sharing the Gospel.

Experience a virtual walkthrough of the prayer tent.

Missionaries tackle God-size task in dangerous slums of Caracas

Only 1 percent of the 5 million people of Caracas, Venezuela, are evangelical Christian. Many of the spiritually lost live in the city’s barrios(slums), among the most dangerous in the world. The narrow streets are plagued with constant crime, substance abuse and gang violence. But Ed and Pam Engle say ministering to these people is worth it.

Last night, at prayer meeting, James Rimes led us last night to be better encouragers.  Who would God have you encourage today?
