Vera Chambers Hayden

A resident of Amite, she died at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born October 25, 1934 in Livingston Parish and was 77 years of age. She retired as the Assistant City Clerk for the Town of Amite after 33 years of service. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012. Services conducted by Rev. Gary Weiborg. Interment Mulberry Street Cemetery, Amite. She is survived by daughter, Marsha Bankston and her husband, Larry, Roseland; 3 sons, Terry Chambers, Sweetwater, Ricky Chambers and his wife, Jane, Denham Springs, Russell Stanley Hayden, Jr., Amite; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
