Coy Dykes Jr. was born on June 18, 1935 and entered into Ete
rnal Rest on April 17, 2012 at the age of 76 years old and a native of Washington Parish.
Visitationto be held at Our Father’s House Baptist Church on April 20, 2012 from 6P.M. – 10:00 P.M., & Saturday April 21st from 10AM. – Religious services at 2:00 P.M.
Bro. Willie Westmoreland & Bro. Larry Blades officiating, Interment was in the Tangipahoa Cemetery.
Mr. Coy is survived by his wife Pearl Travis Dykes, Three Daughters: Lila Jean (& David) Watson of Wilmer, Ruthie Dykes of Kentwood, Faye (& Leroy) Carney of Kentwood. Four Sons – Eugene Travis & Phillip Dykes Both of Kentwood, Edward Dykes of Wilmer, La., Jacky Dykes (& Vicky Wall) of Osyka, Ms., Jerry (& Kathy) Dykes of Mt. Hermon, La. & one step-son Norman W. Travis of Roseland, La.
Ten Grand Children, Thirteen Great-Grand-Children and three Great Great Grand-Children, and many other adopted Grand-children.Four Sisters – Jessie Ray (& Janson) Kling of Baton Rouge, Janice (& Ray) Jarreau of Erinville, La., Evelyn McCallister of Denham Springs, and Irene (& Carl) Smith of Magnolia, Ms., Many Nieces, Nephews and other family Members.
Mr. Coy is preceded in death by four sons, William Henry Dykes, Carl Ray Dykes, Tommy Lane Dykes and Jimmy Wayne Dykes Sr. One Grandson – Wayne Travis, Parents Coy Dykes Sr. & Emma Dykes. Two Brothers – Buddy Dykes, & John Henry Dykes. Four Sisters – Tressie Mae Seals, Linda June Lebo, Della Rose Dykes, Emma Nell Dykes. & Four Infant Siblings
