A resident of Kentwood, he died at 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born December 3, 1949 in Independence and was 62 years of age. Mr. Young loved to train horses and help others. Visitation at New Zion Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012, and from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012. Services conducted by Rev. Gibbie McMillan. Interment New Zion Cemetery, Kentwood. Survived by son, Billy Jack Young, Tangipahoa, 2 grandchildren, Bodie Jacob Young and, Molly Mikel Young, 2 step-grandchildren, Madison Grubbs and, Cannon Estes, friend, Maxine and her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. A resident of Amite, she died on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home. She was born September 6, 1941 in Leflore County, MS and was 70 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Wallace “Duppy” Forshag, Jr.; daughter, Kelly Forshag Relan and her husband, Randy; granddaughter, Willow Joy Forshag, all of Amite. Preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Bessie Adams Rosamond; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She loved children and enjoyed working with them at North Tangi Head Start. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Amite, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012. Services conducted by Rev. Brady Whitton.
