Frances Evelyn Hutchinson Darouse
(October 20, 1918 – May 24, 2011)

A resident of Kentwood, she died at 8:20 a.m on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born October 20, 1918 in Chesbrough and was 92 years of age. She was a former telephone operator, business partner with her husband, and a loving homemaker. Visitation at Tangipahoa United Methodist Church, Tangipahoa, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Services conducted by Rev. Kevin Smith. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. Survived by daughter, Cherie Darouse Stevens and her husband, Wayne, Tangipahoa, son, Dennis Darouse and his wife, Joni, Hammond, 6 grandchildren, Aaron Darouse, Seth Darouse, Lanell Darouse and his wife, Wendy, Sarah Darouse, Johnny Meche, and Jennie O’Neal, 4 great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, and Joleigh. Preceded in death by husband, Edwin B. Darouse, Parents, Harvey Hutchinson, Sr. and Monte Sue Hyde Hutchinson, brother, Harvey Hutchinson, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America.
