Jared Cory Guthrie was born August 26, 1985 and passed away at 3:41 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was 25, a native of Hammond and resident of Kentwood.
Cory is survived by his mother and father, Cheryl Blades Guthrie and Clem Guthrie of Kentwood; brother, Casey Guthrie and wife YiYi, Shreveport; maternal grandmother, Shirley Blades. Kentwood; paternal grandmother, Norma Guthrie, Baton Rouge; fiancé, Kierstin York, Covington; nephew, Culum Guthrie; niece, Lily Guthrie; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe C. Guthrie, Sr. and Dick Blades.
Visitation at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until Celebration of Life Services at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Greg Durel and Rev. Russ Kirkland officiating. Interment in Spring Creek Masonic Cemetery, Kentwood, LA.

John William “Dub” Morris was born January 11, 1945 and passed away at 10:20 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 66, a native and resident of Amite.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy Walker Morris, Amite; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Morris, Amite; 2 sons, John Ellis Morris and Elizabeth “Beth” McNeese, Amite and James Travis Morris and wife Bobbie, Amite; 2 sisters, Patsy Alford, Amite and Rhonda Richard and husband, Johnnie, Amite; brother, Eddie Morris, Amite; 5 grandchildren, Cole William Morris, Koby Lane Bryant, Dave Bryant, Ben Bryant and Gracelee Morris;
Preceded in death by his parents, Kinzie and Ruby P. Morris; brother Ronnie James Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
