A resident of Amite, she died at 11:05 a.m on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Specialty LTCH of Hammond. She was born October 16, 1923 in Chesbrough, was 87 years of age and a member of Amite Church of Christ over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Frazier; 2 sons, Daine Carlsen and Joey Pulliam; granddaughter, Whitney Wallace and her husband, Landon; 2 great-granddaughters, Graysen and Rowen Wallace, all of Amite; 2 sisters, Ruthie Cazaubon and her husband, Paul, Metairie and Beth Spears, Denham Springs; brother, Joseph Simmons, Metairie; sister-in-law, Marie L. “Jerry” Pulliam, Amite; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude W. Pulliam, Sr.; parents, Jeff and Lessie Carter Simmons; sister, Maxie Hale; 2 brothers, Dorman and Raymond Simmons. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Services conducted by Bro. Kenneth Istre. Interment Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola.
