Update on Dr. Aguillard

The Louisiana Baptist family continues in prayer for Dr. Joe Aguillard, president of Louisiana College.

 

Amy Robertson, Louisiana College director of communications, spoke to Dr. Aguillard’s family and communicated the latest information regarding his condition:

  • doctors have confirmed that he did have a heart attack
  • there is minimal damage to his heart from the heart attack
  • doctors have diagnosed him with Coronary Artery Disease
  • he will have by-pass surgery in about one week.
  • he is in Rapides Regional Hospital; resting comfortably
  • he is not settled in a room yet. Please hold off on sending flowers, cards, etc.
  • doctors are not allowing any visitors at this time.

The Louisiana College is holding a special prayer service tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29, at 11 am in the Guinn Auditorium. Dr. Chuck Quarles will lead a collective prayer time for Dr. Aguillard and his family. At that time another update on his condition will be given to the students, faculty, staff and the general population.

 

Roger Pittman’s by-pass surgery will be Wednesday morning at 7:20 in McComb. Please be in prayer for Roger, Lois, Karen, and other family members as well as the medical staff working with Roger.
