Thursday

“But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time;

O God, in the multitude of Your mercy,

hear me in the truth of Your salvation.”

~Psalm 69:13~

Mrs. Annie Bell Harrell is in the St. Helena hospital.  Keep her, her family, and the medical staff in your prayers as they care for her.

Bernie Gill is Beth Billiot’s brother.  He will be having bypass heart surgery today.  Please remember him in your prayers.

Keep praying for the family of Margaret Huber as they have her wake and funeral today and tomorrow.  They have already been through so much and are surely tired.  Pray them through the next few days.

Nancy Stokes shared this with me.

Evening Prayer

Someone has said that if Christians really understood  the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped  what they were doing every  day at a prescribed hour  for one minute to collectively pray for the  safety of England , its people and peace? There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America . If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Don’t forget Mug ‘n’ Muffin at FBC, Kentwood this Saturday at 10:00 A.M.  You do not have to be a member of FBC to attend.  Bring a dozen muffins (if you can) and your favorite mug to drink coffee, OJ, or chocolate milk.  Plan to get to know other ladies from 5 to 105 better, work on a mission project, enjoy hearing Courtney Creel singing, and making a craft project that will be easy enough for even those who think they are not crafty.  I hope to see lots of you there.

Have a terrific Thursday.  “This is the day the Lord ….”.
