Mrs. Catherine Yarborough fell in her yard this weeek.  She broke her glasses and bruised her face.  Please be in prayer for her as she heals.  Pray, too, for no more falls.

Harold Joseph Hatch Wall

(January 22, 1921 – February 15, 2011)

Harold Joseph Hatch Wall was born January 22, 1921 and passed away at 9:10 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 90, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Bogalusa.

Mr. Harold is survived by his wife, Laura Cooper Wall, Bogalusa; daughter, Suzonne Wied and husband Bob, Canandaigua, NY; 2 sons, Harold Quave, Jr. and wife Sharon, Angie and William Lloyd Quave and wife Connie, Bogalusa; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; also survived by 2 daughters Dana Carmichael and husband Bill, Lafayette and Veda Laine Barry, Sulphur; son, H. Kent Wall, Memphis, TN; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Alice Goff and a sister, Elizabeth Smith.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

Phyllis Hughes Alford
(December 15, 1919 – February 17, 2011)

A native and long time resident of Roseland, she entered into eternal rest surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law at North Oaks Medical Center on February 17, 2011 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Staff Sergeant Hollis M. Alford who was killed in World War II; her second husband, William “Bill” Alford; her mother, Julia S. Hughes; father, Thomas Gordon Hughes; brother, John “Jack” Hughes. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her only daughter, Mary Lou Alford Caceres and son-in-law, Isidro Pierre Caceres, Terrytown; grandchildren, Simone Caceres Ponish, Roseland, Kirk Caceres, Mobile, AL and Keith Caceres, Terrytown. She leaves behind two beautiful great-granddaughters, Coral-Lyn Ponish, Los Angeles, CA and Gabrielle Caceres, Harahan. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011. Services conducted by Rev. Gaylord Dodgen and Pastor Jeff McKneely. Interment Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola.
