John “Jack” Emile Konzelman, Jr. (January 31, 1927 – January 31, 2011)

John “Jack” Emile Konzelman, Jr. was born January 31, 1927 and passed away at 9:14 a.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Jack was 84, a native of Biloxi, MS and a resident of Amite. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retired US Postal Service employee.

Mr. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy “Dotsy” Binder Konzelman, Amite; 2 sons, Jackie Konzelman, Amite and Randy Konzelman and wife Ruth, Kentwood; 2 daughters, Julie Bennett and husband, Wayne, Amite and Carroll Jo Miller and husband, Lane, Kentwood; daughter -in-law, Cynthia Konzelman, Amite; 7 grandchildren, Kim Webb and husband Wil, Flora, MS, Brandon Blades, Amite, Mark Konzelman and wife Elizabeth, Osyka, MS, Shellie Miller, Kentwood, Lanny Miller, Kentwood, Sarah Konzelman, Kentwood and Matthew Konzelman, Kentwood; 2 great-grandchildren, Baylor Travis, Flora, MS and Emilee Webb, Flora, MS., and expecting great-grandson, Manning Rhett Konzelman; brother, David Konzelman and wife Mary Ann, Memphis, TN.

He was preceded in death by parents, John Emile and Julia Margaret Konzelman, Sr.; son, Dennis Marshall Konzelman.

Visitation at the St. Helena Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. with Father Joe Camilleri officiating. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Fenwick Binder, Charles “Brown” Binder, Robert Binder, John Michael Battalora, Hunter Carter, Joe Binder and Skylar Singleton.
