Sunday

“Never be lacking in zeal,

but keep your spiritual fervor,

serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope,

patient in affliction,

faithful in prayer.”

~Romans 12:11-12 (NIV)~

Don’t forget this is the Lord’s Day.

“Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these,” Luke 18:16b

GOOD LUCK CHARMS

Have you ever heard the word ‘talisman’ or ‘amulet’?  It’s usually a piece of jewelry or an ornament that people wear or hang in their home or car AND they believe it has magical power to protect against sickness and evil. Sometimes they are called good luck charms. Christians do not trust in talismans—they trust in the power of God Himself!

In Bratislava, Slovakia, kids in elementary schools have a new trend.  They are making talisman and bringing them to school for ‘luck’ and ‘feeling better’ about school and life.  Kids as young as second grade have caught on to this fad.  They are very serious, thinking that the piece of jewelry can help them get better grades or make more friends.

KOMpray: Kids on Mission Pray is a work in progress. We offer prayer requests about children—children around the world who are just learning about Jesus and Missionary Kids (MKs) who share His love along with their parents. The goal is to encourage children of all ages to pray and trust God to answer!
