Malcolm G. Hastings
(June 15, 1938 – November 1, 2010)
Malcolm G. Hastings was born June 15, 1938 and passed away at 10:40 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was 72, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Arcola.
Mr. Malcolm was a deacon of Hillsdale Baptist Church, Teacher & Coach, Member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of Americans Magicians and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Miller Hastings, Arcola; 5 children, Gwendolyn Hastings Autin and husband, Johnny, Hammond, Malcolm “Bo” Hastings and wife, Glenda, Spartanburg, SC, William Kenneth Hastings and wife Mary, Calendonia, MS, Benjamin Hastings and wife Brittany, Ponchatoula and Brynn Hastings Campo and husband, Sam, Amite; 12 grandchildren and one on the way; 7 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Errol and Hazel Bickford Hastings; grandson, Malcolm L. Hastings, Jr.; brother, Paul Bickford.
Visitation at Hillsdale Baptist Church, Hillsdale, on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until Celebration of Life Worship Service at 12:00 noon with Rev. Darryl Miller and Bro. Jaimie Autin officiating. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery.
