Joseph BRENT

BRENT, Joseph Louis Born July 6, 1937 and died on September 23, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer. Active in his church, he served as a member of the Media Ministry at Two Rivers Baptist Church. Before retiring in 2001, he worked with computers for over 40 years. He was a licensed private pilot, computer hobbyist and an avid LSU Tigers fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edna Brent. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maybelle Wedgeworth Brent; three daughters, Marian Brent, JoAnn (David) Dickerson, Louise (Bobby) Reed; six grandchildren, Jon and Evan Dickerson; Timothy (Catriona), Andrew, Stephen and Katie Reed. He is also survived by his siblings, Frank (Elaine) Brent, Jr., James (Martha) Brent and Mary (Wayne) Criswell; and six nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1 p.m., from the Mount Olivet Funeral Home, with Matt Surber officiating. Private family Interment in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Kidney Cancer Association.
