Wednesday

“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost

those who come to God through Him,

since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

~Hebrews 7:25~

Erin Evanoff will have another blood transfusion tomorrow.   Surgery has been rescheduled for Monday, September 27th.  Please continue to pray for Erin, her family, and her friends.

See You at the Pole is this morning.  Students around the world will be gathering at flag poles at their schools before school begins to pray.  Thank God for their willingness to meet and pray.  You can join them in this time of prayer no matter where you are.  It’s not the flag pole that is special.   It’s the willingness to pray.

Why is our offering named

Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering?

Georgia Barnette was the first Executive Director for Louisiana WMU. Through letters, messages, and example, she continually encouraged Louisiana Baptists to follow God’s command to “go and tell.” She led our state to know the importance of giving and volunteering. Her work and passion for reaching our state for Christ was honored in 1936 when the offering was given her name.

I hope you have time to read this Baptist Press article.  It is very inspiring.
