Monday – Labor Day

God has reserved a priceless inheritance
for his children.
It is kept in heaven for you,
pure and undefiled,
beyond the reach of change and decay.
~1 Peter 1:4 (NLT)~

My cousin Karen Landry of New Orleans La. is in the process of facing her upcoming meeting with Jesus (I don’t want to say death I guess) I made her a caringbridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/karenlandry
Please visit it for more information on her. Cancer has spread to the brain. It started in the lymph nodes. She is in East Jefferson Hospital in Metaire. Hospice has been called. Her mother is 82 and has severe demitia. She is a strong catholic woman but now she is blaming God and making statements that It is God’s fault for not healing her. Please pray for all the family.
Thanks
Cyndi Marshall

Pray for Erin Evanoff as she has a biopsy Thursday.

Pray for Whitney Kliesch as he continues to heal from his military accident at home with his family.

I’ll post the obituary for Caroline Crouch when one becomes available.  Please remember to continue to pray for her family and friends.

“At the name of Jesus every knee should bow…” Philippians 2:10

A WOMAN WENT to her gynecologist and said, “Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help…

My baby is not even 1-year-old and I’m pregnant again.  I don’t want kids so close together.” The doctor said, “Okay, what do you want me to do?”   She said, ‘I want you to end my pregnancy, and I’m counting on your help with this.”  The doctor thought for a moment and then said, “I think I have a better solution for your problem, and it’s less dangerous for you too.”

She smiled, thinking the doctor was going to accept her request.  He then continued, “You see, in order for you not to have to take care of two babies at the same time, let’s kill the one in your arms.  This way, you could rest some before the other one is born.  If we’re going to kill one of them, it doesn’t matter which one it is.  There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.”

The woman was horrified and responded, “How terrible!  It’s a crime to kill a child!”  “I agree,” the doctor replied, “But you seemed to be okay with it, so I thought that was the best solution.”  The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

There is no difference in killing a child that has already been born, and one that still in the womb.

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:18; cf. Have a great holiday!
