Thursday Evening

Paul G. “Pappy” Moak a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother was born October 17, 1940 and passed away at 4:05 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his residence. He was 69, a native of Independence and a resident of Kentwood. Pappy was retired from Exxon Mobile Carpenter’s Local #1098, Baton Rouge, LA.

Pappy is survived by 3 daughters, Debra M. Lambert and husband, Larry, Magnolia, MS, Sharon M. Birch and husband, Bill, Kentwood, Rachael M. Buckley and husband, Trey, Kentwood; 2 step-sons, Shawn Church, Clinton, Ronnie Church, Liberty, MS; 6 grandchildren, Chris Lambert and wife, Alison, Justin Lambert and wife, Hollie, Kallie Birch, Kirstie Birch, Taylor Buckley, Calin Buckley; 5 great grandchildren, Tristen Lambert, Landon Lambert, Koben Lambert, Chance Lambert, Karli Grace Lambert; 4 sisters, Wilkie Blades, Arkansas, Annie Allen and husband Joe, Magnolia, MS; Linda Riggle, Florida, Peggy Tate and husband, Roger, Kentwood; 4 brothers, Woody Moak, Franklinton, Kenneth “Scooter” Varnado, McComb, MS, Buford “Boonie” Blades, Jr., Herman Blades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Colla & Evie M. Moak; a brother, Stanley Earl Varnado.

Visitation at the Spring Creek Baptist Church, Kentwood, on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until Celebration of Life Worship Services at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Danny Smith officiating. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery.
