William Hardy “Billy” Brabham, Jr.

William Hardy “Billy” Brabham, Jr. was born January 14, 1939 and passed away at 4:10 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 71, a native of St. Helena Parish and a resident of Kentwood. Mr. Billy was a lifelong cattle farmer, a 1957 graduate of Greensburg High School and was a member of the 1957-1959 Tulane University Football Team.
Mr. Billy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia Webb Brabham, Kentwood; 2 daughters, Lisa B. Peairs and husband, Ricky, Clinton and Amy B. Holland and husband, Chris, Kentwood; 2 sons, Jason Brabham and wife, Carmen, Kentwood and Seth Brabham and wife, Sara, Kentwood; daughter-in-law, Beth B. Brabham, Magnolia, MS; 2 brothers, David Brabham and wife, Connie, Kentwood and Danny Brabham and wife, Bunny, Prairieville; 13 grandchildren, Garrett Brabham, Meagan Strickland, Jeb Brabham, Hunter Brabham, Shane Holland, Whitney Holland, Kaysey Holland, Dalton Brabham, Caylon Brabham, Carlon Brabham, Alison Brabham, Wyatt Brabham and Hollie Peairs.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Hardy, Sr. and Emma Lee Blades Brabham; son, Kyle Garrett Brabham, Sr.; brother, Ronnie Brabham.
Visitation at the Pine Ridge United Methodist Church, Tangipahoa, on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Thursday, August 11 from 8:00 a.m. until Celebration of Life Worship Services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev, Larry Blades and Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Garrett Brabham, Shane Holland, Jeb Brabham, Hunter Brabham, Dalton Brabham, Wyatt Brabham Richard Wales & Adrian Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers are Deloy Smith and Gene McNabb.
