Monday

As for God, his way is perfect;

the word of the LORD is flawless.

He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

“Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering,

for He who promised is faithful.

And let us be concerned about one another

in order to promote love and good works,

not staying away from our meetings,

as some habitually do,

but encouraging each other.”

~Hebrews 10:23-25a, HCSB~

Dear Intercessors, this is Eleanor Witcher of the Office of Global Prayer Strategy, encouraging you to pray for new churches.

The head man in the large resettlement village knew the Zimbabwe Evangelism Team was coming. His wife put up a small table, covered it with a tablecloth, and added a vase filled with sunflowers. As soon as team members arrived, the head man began noisily beating the piece of metal hanging from a tree that called all the villagers to an important meeting. Introductions were made and the volunteers shared their testimonies and the Good News of Jesus Christ. Some came forward to accept Christ. Others had been church members before they moved to the resettlement area where there was no church, and came forward to commit themselves to becoming active members of the new church being started. The head man then announced that he was tired of following the old traditional ways because they did nothing for the people. He said he would follow Jesus.

The Kano Katsina Fulbe Team thanks God for the 12 new fellowships that were started this year in Nigeria with 93 new believers. These fellowships are spread out over three states; therefore, team members are unable to visit them on a regular basis.

* Please pray that strong leadership can be developed in each of these fellowships.

* Give thanks for house churches around the world: permission has been granted for Christ Lives Baptist Church in Colima, Mexico, to use an unoccupied house for Sunday morning celebration services; leaders of Nueva Jerusalen in Metropolitan Guadalajara, Mexico have been training to open cell groups in their homes; and a Messianic congregation in Israel has been able to purchase its own meeting place–a floor of a building–despite some persecution.

* Ask God to help your church to grow in love and good works.

Pray for  Mrs.Judy Laberto as she undergoes a procedure this week.  Pray for her to feel God’s hand on her as He leads her.

As you pray for the Stegall family, remember to pray for all the young lives touched by their teacher, Mr. Stegall.  Pray some of his positive influence lives on.
