Rev. Butch Reviere will have surgery in Lacombe on Monday, January 18.  Please be in prayer for Bro. Butch, his family, and the surgeons.

Mrs. Della McDaniel continues to improve.  Keep her and her family in your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Mrs. Linda Hulkaby as she awaits test results.

Donise Honeycutt is doing well, but doesn’t yet know when he will be released from the hospital in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Faye Price continues to be in Hammond with the possibility of moving to rehab soon.  Keep “Miss” Faye and her family in your prayers.

Robert Ricks of Arcola is cancer free at this point.  He will be going back to M.D. Anderson in three months for a check-up.  Remember Robert and Pat in your prayers.

JOHN ALLEN FORBES, age 76 and a resident of Thomas died at 10:45 PM Friday at Riverside Medical Center.

He was devoted to his family, his church and fishing. He was a retired boilermaker and a member and deacon of Thomas First Baptist Church. He was a member Pine Masonic Lodge #264.

Survived by: Wife: Patsy Brister Forbes of Thomas 4 Daughters and sons in law: Sandra and Phillip Branch of Dexter Linda and Richard Thomas of Thomas Johnnie and Mike Whisenhunt of Hammond Karen and Bret Denison of Manassas, VA Grandchildren: Jennifer and Danny Thomas, Kamala and Jeremy Aaron, Brandon Branch, Rick and Megan Thomas, John Michael and Jennifer Whisenhunt, Joshua Hunt, Colbye and Bucky Erwin, Kayce Hunt, Bethany Hunt, Mark Whisenhunt and D.J. Denison. Great-grandchildren: Shelbye Branch, Abby Thomas, Carson Thomas, Ryleigh Erwin, Cooper Thomas and Lola Aaron. 2 Brothers: Dick Forbes of Stateline Walton Forbes of Tylertown 1 Sister: Jenell Dillon of Franklinton He was preceded in death by his parents Reacie and Lillie Mae Dillon Forbes; 3 brothers Charles Forbes, Richard Forbes and Robert Forbes and a sister Mary Cutrer.

Visitation at Crain Funeral Home after 10 AM Sunday until time for the funeral service at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Denny Brumfield and Bucky Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.

Anthony Joseph Sampere, Jr.

Died at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Albany. He was a native of Hammond and a resident of Independence. Age 33 years. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. Religious Services at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Services conducted by Fr. Howard Adkins. Interment Colonial Mausoleum, Independence. Survived by his fiance’, Ashley Pingno; daughter, Gabrielle Marie Sampere; mother, Cecilia Marie Sampere; 10 sisters, Margaret Perrin, Helen Carona, Tonya LeBlanc, Wendy Nielsen, Mary Loving, Christen Anzalone, Dana Sampere, Catherine Inzinna, Anna St. Marie, Angela Gomez, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Anthony Sampere, Sr.
