Daisy Bridges Walker

Died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at her residence in Greensburg, LA. She was a native of Greensburg, LA. Age 91 years. A life-long resident of Greensburg, Daisy Walker was a gracious southern lady. Faith, family, and friends were the mainstays of her life. She will remain in the loving memories of all whose lives she touched. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and at Greensburg United Methodist Church, from 1 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Services conducted by Rev. Lamariul Cotton. Interment Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg, LA. Survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Milton “Elizabeth” Spaulding, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Robert “Theresa” Jeffers, Raleigh, NC, Mrs. Harrison “Jana” Ferris, Raleigh, NC, 4 granddaughters, Beth Tucker Parks, Margaret Tucker c, Julie Tucker Fink, Erin Ferris Schneider, 3 grandsons, B. Walker Jeffers, William G. Jeffers, Joseph P. Jeffers, 3 great-grandchildren, Caroline, Stuart, and May. Preceded in death by husband Ocy Olen Walker, sister, Elizabeth Hanks, 4 brothers, Tom Ed Bridges, Duncan Bridges, Lathan Bridges, William H. Bridges. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Dorothy McGrath. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to contribute to the Greensburg United Methodist Church, Greensburg, LA.
